ACID System Administrator's Guide

Steve Rodgers, WA6ZFT, created an ACID System Administrator's Guide which is a good general guide to Asterisk w/app_rpt. Note that some information does not apply to XIPAR systems because XIPAR systems include the FreePBX web interface and other additional features.

For example, do not use the ACID SysAdmin guide's process for stopping and starting the XIPAR Radio Over IP processes. Rather, from the command line as root, please use amportal kill to stop Asterisk and all VoIP and RoIP processes and use amportal start to start Asterisk and all VoIP and RoIP processes.

Additionally, FreePBX manipulates your /etc/asterisk configuration files and the XIPAR install uses different file names for compatibility.
