Placing a Telephone Call

Note that the Administrator of your system can choose to enable or disable this feature or require access codes in advance of this procedure. And, this information is based on default system configuration that also can be changed by your Administrator.

To obtain a connection to dialtone from a mobile or portable PTT radio
- Select the correct radio channel,
- Press and Hold the PTT button,
- Using the radio keypad dial *6.
- Release the PTT button or dial the desired number

Alternately,
- Select the telephone access channel,
- Press and hold the PTT button for 2 seconds,
- Release the PTT button.
- If the dialtone is not received, repeat this process.
