Repeater Operation

Because this is a digital communications system one of the things that users notice is a delay between the originating and retransmitted audio through the repeater. This can vary from 100 to as much as 750 milliseconds depending on how the system is configured and IP delay between sites. This delay is the result of packetizing the audio but it provides the benefits of improved squelch tail elimination, Touch Tone (DTMF) retransmission muting and pass-through and reliable voice transmissions.
