Configure Node LAN IP Address

Incoming calls to your Asterisk server from other app_rpt nodes arrive using the IAX2 protocol. This protocol uses port 4569 by default but may be changed to some other port on your server. This may be necessary if for example you share an Internet connection and IP address among several Asterisk servers on your LAN. You can use Webmin's Network settings to make these changes. The installation default is for DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). This means that when the computer boots it looks for a DHCP server on the network to tell it what IP address to use. Most often the NAT (Network Address Translation) Gateway/Router device such as the WRT54G is such a device. To forward the IAX2 port (normally 4569) from the WAN or Internet to the Asterisk server you must use the NAT/Gateway/Router configuration screens.
