Does the XIPPR Server require a static IP or connection directly to the Internet?

The XIPPR server does not require a static IP or dedicated Internet connection.

However, the network must be configured to provide the Quality of Service (QoS) and Traffic Control required for good VoIP performance.

In some cases it is not possible to configure the network due to organizational practices or total performance objectives. Then in the interest of cost or performance, a separate dedicated connection can make sense.
